Courchevel Airport (IATA: CVF, ICAO: LFLJ) is located in the French Alps at an altitude of 2008 meters above sea level. The airport has one runway with a length of 537 meters and a gradient of 18.5%, the track is often likened to a "rollercoaster". On the airport approach procedures no IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) and no signal lights for the runway. The place is located, bad weather, short track, and high altitude make Courchevel one of the most difficult airports in the world.
The airport does not have a go-around procedure, leuci and this detail makes landing to apply for and more on pilots. Fortunately, so far there have been no aviation accidents. At the moment there are no commercial flights to / from the airport Courchevel. The only airplanes landing here are of STOL (Short TakeOff and Landing) and several business jets.
